What is R&D?

It is the creative work carried out on a systematic basis to increase the knowledge of culture, people, and society and to use it to design new processes, systems, and applications, including software. It is the creative work carried out on a systematic basis to increase the knowledge base consisting of the knowledge of humans, culture, and society and to use this repertoire to design new applications. R&D activities are handled under three main headings.

Basic Research

It is an experimental and theoretical study that does not have any apparent special application or use and is carried out to obtain new information on the fundamentals of priority phenomena and observable facts.

Applied Research

It is an original work carried out to obtain new knowledge. It is aimed at a specific practical purpose or goal.

Experimental Development

To produce new materials, new products, or devices using existing knowledge from research and/or practical experience; to establish new processes, systems, and services; It is a systematic work directed towards significantly improving the already produced or established ones.
As the Akademi Çevre R&D Unit, we evaluate our activities under the headings of innovation, scientific, industrial applicability, and profitability. In this context, we have bilateral collaborations with universities and research institutions at home and abroad. Within the scope of these collaborations, R&D projects that can be subject to European Union and TÜBİTAK-TEYDEB programs are prepared. Our project subjects are the search for transforming all kinds of materials that harm the environment as waste into a usable raw material or intermediate product by evaluating them with original ideas in the light of current scientific developments.
